The Book Finders Committee meets throughout the year on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. at the Neyland Public Library, 1230 Carmel Parkway.  Book sales are conducted as planned by the committee.  Members are encouraged to help on a weekly basis and assist with designated sales.  The AAUW Corpus Christi Branch appreciates the cooperation and encouragement of the Corpus Christi Public Library system that help support our AAUW Book Sales.  For more information about Book Finders, contact us at aauwcorpuschristi@gmail.com.  See Book Sales for the current schedule.

History of Book Finders

In 1960, the AAUW Corpus Christi Branch held its first book sale in an old Chaparral Street office building and cleared $134.04. The annual AAUW Used Book Sale became one of the Branch’s most successful projects.  Today, donated books from all over the Coastal Bend are classified, priced, and sold at AAUW Book Sales about every three months.  Proceeds support scholarships to TAMUCC and Del Mar College students; local libraries; the Branch; and women’s activities.
