November 2018 Meeting

The Corpus Christi Branch of AAUW held its regular meeting on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the YWCA-Corpus Christi.

AAUW – Corpus Christi’s November 2018 speaker, Dr. Kimberly Stump.

Dr. Catherine Cox introduced our speaker, Dr. Kimberly Stump, who practices family medicine at the Texas Department of Health and Human Services at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center.  Dr. Stump earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and completed her residency at the New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Concord.  She is board certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing since 2012.  Her interests include preventive medicine, complex care management, and health policy.

Dr. Stump gave an informative presentation on preventive medicine, stressing the need for women to get regular screenings, such as mammograms and colonoscopies, and to stay current with immunizations.   Dr. Stump shared the following websites for more information:
